Anderson & Strudwick, a Richmond-headquartered brokerage and investment banking firm, has hired three experienced investment bankers who had formerly worked at Ferris, Baker Watts.

Michael E. Mendelson, J. Matthew Carr and Clayton M. Jones together had been involved in more than 30 deals over the past three years that raised in excess of $4 billion.

The investment bankers' expertise is securing American financing for companies traded on foreign exchanges. Their work will complement that of other Anderson & Strudwick investment bankers who have been assisting U.S. and foreign companies seeking financing and related services, the company explained in a press release.

Washington, D.C.-based Ferris Baker Watts, announced in February that it would be acquired by RBC Dain Rauscher.
