Two days ago, R’Biz wrote about the black bear that busted into Circuit City Stores outlet in Colorado, hung out in the customer waiting area, and then took off for the woods. It turns out we weren’t the only ones who saw the symbolism for the money-losing consumer electronics retailer. A column in the Barron’s website has some fun with the episode.

We know of one bear who busted in, looked around, and walked right out. Specifically, an adult black bear that broke a glass door on a Colorado Springs Circuit City location, took one look at the merchandise, and high-tailed it back out of the shop. Without a purchase. Only one employee was in the store at the time. (Gee, those layoffs have really taken their toll.) Credit Suisse, in a facetious (we’re guessing) note, said that it was not able to verify that the bear ambled right back out having found ”the service level substandard.” For the record, there have been no reported sightings of a bull in Circuit City. We will continue to monitor that situation.
