Dominion has installed an energy calculator on its website to help residential and business customers determine how much energy they are using and explore ways to save energy and money.

"This user-friendly tool allows customers to identify areas in their homes or businesses where they can make energy-efficient improvements," Robert Burnette, director -- Energy Conservation, told The Earth Times. "The energy calculators help customers understand their specific energy use so they can compare and analyze their bills and find ways to save energy and money."

The calculator adjusts for Dominion’s rates, depending upon service territory, and for regional weather patterns. Customers can profile their household energy use and calculate savings from different energy-saving investments. An energy-smart library provides detailed information about topics including weatherization, heating, cooling, lighting, water heating and food storage.
