A trade deal first inked in 2011 to ship soybeans from Virginia to China is being expanded for the second consecutive year, further solidifying China’s standing as the largest customer for agricultural products exported from Virginia.

State officials announced Monday that Perdue Agribusiness Inc. has signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s Dandong Port Group Co. and its affiliate, Dandong Pasite Grain and Oilseed Co. Ltd., to supply up to 29 million bushels of soybeans from the 2013 crop.
