Central Virginia Health Services, which operates a network of federally supported health centers, is trying to hire primary care providers for four of its 14 sites, and having a hard time doing so.

“We haven’t had this kind of situation in forever,” said Dr. Randall Bashore, clinical director for the community health center network based in the Buckingham County community of New Canton.
