This week we introduce a new column, "Campus Makers," which will focus on professors, college news and other happenings on Richmond's campuses. If you have college-related news you'd like to share, send an email to david.hylton@corp.richmond.com.

Val, Thank you for responding. No one is "left off the list." This is compiled from news releases we receive from the colleges. And this column is only from items received in the past week and a half. An email has been sent to someone at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College to make sure we're added to their email list. We will include information as it is passed along to us.

I'm disappointed to see that JSRCC was left off the list. I suppose that even though 48% of all students have/are attending a 2-year community college, they don't quite make the cut to be in news?
