PHOTOS: Nutcracker Costumes 2013

It’s a tradition not only in Richmond but throughout America – heading out to the theatre during the holiday season to see The Nutcracker, the classic, Tchaikovsky-scored fairy tale of a young girl named Clara and her Nutcracker prince. This year, the Richmond Ballet will present the Christmas-time production December 14-23, 2013 at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage, featuring the Richmond Symphony for all 13 performances. The company's full roster of dancers, along with 26 trainees and over 150 students from The School of Richmond Ballet, will each wear a costume that is every bit as part of bringing the story to life as the movements on the stage.
