Streets to be closed for New Year's Eve celebrations

Richmond Police will be closing streets in lieu of the New Year's Eve celebrations in Carytown. The following areas will close at noon today (Dec. 31) and reopen at 3 a.m. Jan. 1:
w West Cary Street, between Sheppard Street and Boulevard.
w Cary Court Shopping Center’s parking lot will close but the stores will remain open.

The following street will close at 4 p.m. today (Dec. 31) and reopen at 3 a.m. Jan. 1:
w West Cary Street, between Dooley and Sheppard streets.

Free shuttle services and parking will be provided at University of Richmond's stadium on McCloy Street. The shuttles will run every 10 to 15 minutes.
