The daily closure will allow the installation of sanitary sewers and related equipment for residences on the 500 block on North 3rd Street.

The clearly-marked detour for motorists on North 3rd Street heading north will be to turn left onto East Clay Street, right onto North 2nd Street and then right onto East Leigh Street.

The clearly-marked detour for motorists on North 3rd Street heading south will be to turn right onto East Leigh Street, second left onto North 1st Street and then second left onto East Marshall Street.

Approximately 5,300 vehicles per day use the portion of North 3rd Street affected by the road closure. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area during the closure times or to be prepared for traffic delays associated with the detour.
