HARRISONBURG University of Richmond forward Greg Robbins went to the bench during overtime to have his midsection taped because of bruised ribs. Spiders point guard Cedrick Lindsay left the court for a second-half spell because of exhaustion.

Richmond and James Madison played a physical, draining game, combining to attempt 59 free throws on Saturday night before 4,351 at the Convocation Center. UR shot 57.8 percent, got 11 assists and offensive stabilization from Lindsay, and overcame some late-game ball-handling issues to win 83-82 in overtime.
