Second Union hosting Fall Festival Saturday

Goochland’s Second Union (Rosenwald) School will be hosting a Fall Festival from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18 to showcase the renovation that is taking place at the historic school, which educated African-American students from 1918 to 1959.

Fall Festival to take cue from the Wild West

Goochland will be hosting its 8th annual Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, and this year’s theme is straight out of the Wild West.

Goochland schools fully accredited

The Goochland County School District recently was notified that it was one of 22 school divisions — out of the 132 in Virginia — to have 100 percent of its schools earn full state accreditation.
