As VCU’s men’s basketball team continues to win and to grow in national stature, the rest of the university is riding its coattails all the way to the bank.

From Axe body spray ads featuring the team’s popular head coach, to a nearly dizzying amount of marketing at perennially sold-out games, Virginia Commonwealth University is taking advantage of a four-year run of on-court success in an effort that has brought in a new pool of students as well as increased donations and corporate endorsements.
