A Richmond man suspected of taking part in three robberies in April — an unusually violent month for the city — was convicted Thursday of a murder and a robbery three days apart.

Corey Walters, 19, pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of a man who was robbed and shot on April 9 in South Richmond, and to the robbery of a man who was stripped to his underwear and shot in the back three days earlier in the East End.
