PETERSBURG The president of Virginia State University’s student government association says Petersburg Commonwealth’s Attorney Cassandra Conover pressured him to plead guilty to a hazing offense he didn’t commit, telling him he wouldn’t graduate if he didn’t do as she directed.

When Brandon Randleman repeatedly insisted he had done nothing wrong in a meeting with Conover shortly before an April 8 hearing, Conover told him, “If you don’t sign this (plea agreement), you are not graduating,” Randleman alleged in a motion filed last week by his attorney, Joseph D. Morrissey.
