Del. Joseph D. Morrissey plans to appear before a church congregation this morning in Richmond, where he will address the demands of fellow Democrats that he step down.

Virginia Democrats, including Gov. Terry McAuliffe and other party leaders, on Saturday called for Morrissey’s immediate resignation, one day after he was sentenced to 12 months in jail, with six months suspended, for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
