JOHNSON, Roger Wilie, 59, of Richmond, died March 4, 2014. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond O'Dell Johnson; and sister, Sandra Parham. He is survived by his wife, Thomasine Johnson; faithful son, Roger J. Johnson Sr. (Tarshema); grandchildren, Giselle Shaw and Roger J. Johnson Jr.; parents, Junious and Viola Johnson; brother, Herbert Johnson (Francene); mother-in-law, Rosa Goode; father-in-law, Thomas Goode; and brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and friends; among them loyal cousins, Gilbert and Irene Thompson, Simuel Booker Jr., Kevin and Carolyn Robinson; loyal aunts, Shirley Wells and Linda Frazier; loyal friends, George and Patricia Mills, Mark and Cathy Bird, Grayland Crisp, Mrs. Connie Crisp, Linda Barnes and Hattie Wyche. He retired from the City of Richmond Police DEC, where he served as a senior communications officer for almost 30 years. He was passionate in his pastime hobbies as a licensed general contractor, mechanic, landscaper and grill master. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., Richmond, Va. 23224.
