Gerald Gordon, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, is mighty cheesed off, yesirree. He is upset that Henrico recently reached out to companies in Maryland, D.C., and Northern Virginia, reminding them that they could cut expenditures by 20 to 40 percent if they moved from up there to down here.

Gordon thinks this violates the unwritten code of “pure professionalism.” Fairfax has a lot of office space to fill, and he doesn’t think it’s right for Henrico to try to “poach” potential tenants.
