CHARLOTTESVILLE Joe Harris struggled in his first appearance at John Paul Jones Arena.

Harris, who was still a high school standout in the state of Washington, was playing with his AAU team. At the game was newly hired Virginia coach Tony Bennett, who was eager to see how the guard would fare against tough competition.
