— With its No. 1 quarterback sidelined with a minor knee injury, Virginia Tech’s football team still turned in one of its best offensive practices of the spring.

Sophomore quarterback Brenden Motley went 12 for 20 for 163 yards and a 56-yard touchdown to Demitri Knowles, and true freshman Andrew Ford finished 12 for 15 for 150 yards, with a 17-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dakota Jackson.
