If anybody at the University of Richmond knows how to block ACC defenders, Nick Ritcher is the guy, relatively speaking.

The Spiders open at Virginia on Saturday, and the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder will start at right tackle for UR, which aims to improve upon its 2011 per-game rushing average of 76.8 yards (113th among 120 in the FCS). Ritcher, a resident of Raleigh, N.C., was part of that offensive line as a true freshman.
