In response to "Delicious, Down-Home Comfort"
Comfort is a great restaurant for lovers of traditional down home southern cuisine and style. However if your looking for something with a little more flare and pizzazz in both menu and atmosphere check out the new Rendezvous Restaurant Lounge just one block down toward the city on the opposite side of the street.

I agree the Restaurant Rendezvous is like whisking yourself out of Richmond, VA without actually leaving. A very well needed niche in this city. A Splash of life!

Love it, love it. A clean, comfortable area with lots for the munchkins to climb on, run and generally have a ball … super java, too. A haven for us moms-on-the-go! Bravo!

Ok, OK, Thom ... we get it. You drank the kool-aid and now proclaim "The ONE-Messiah." Please just tell me one thing, what has Obama ever done, legislatively, in the Illinois or US Senate? Can't think of a thing, other than vote "Present" a lot. WOW ... what a record! Hard to even measure that level of nothingness. Gotta vote for the candidate that actually puts it on the line, time and again ...
-- JillnTom
JillnTom who would that "candidate that actually puts it on the line" be? John McCain? Lets see; FISA Bill didn't vote, SCHIP Bill voted No with party, 9/11 Commission Bill didn't vote, Supports repealing Roe v Wade, Voted YES on defunding renewable and solar energy, Voted against MLK holiday in 1983, Voted YES on limiting product liability punitive damage awards, Supports unpaid family leave … The problem with having a record like John McCain, is having a record like John McCain.

It seems that Richmond.com is afflicted with the same political cancer as the rest of the media. Narrow viewed and not well informed? Dennis Kucinich delivered a libertarian, conservative address at the DNC and got a rousing response! I am sure that there are not a few conservative republicans on board the Obama train. There is the Libertarian Bob Barr and no one is to sure what he represents. In the outfield a write in candidate Ron Paul (close ally in congress of Dennis Kucinich) Paul's conservative message is still ringing in the ears of many disgruntled Americans. Paul has not consented to this write in candidacy, but he has said that he will serve if chosen. Yes he is still the ONLY candidate that could answer the question, what is 2+2. I wonder if Richmond.com had the internal fortitude to place this question about ALL the candidates what the answers would be?

Huey ... still didn't answer the question ... I don't blame you for playing the "look at this, not at that" game. I looked for Obama's list of legislative achievements, but it's a fairly blank page. As for McCain, guess what ... there is no candidate that we totally agree with, but sometimes you have to be pragmatic and not just "hope."
