The Richmond Group’s most recent Indispensable Award goes to Virginia’s IT Regional Manager Don Turner for his around-the-clock efforts to rescue our largest commercial print customer so it could continue publishing despite a destructive malware attack on the company’s computer systems.

The attack that threatened to prevent the Daily Press in Newport News from publishing occurred right before New Year’s and the disruption throughout Tribune Media lasted several days. The Daily Press required Don’s assistance over many hours and multiple days in order to produce pages for the press in Hanover.

He worked closely with RTD Production Director Billy Towler, who submitted this praise for Don along with his nomination.

"…Don continues to be the glue that holds technology together, especially as it relates to Production. Don has been given more responsibility over the last year and he continues to be there for us in Hanover whenever we call. Don’s dedication to customer service and prompt resolution is second to none."

The Indispensable Award was presented at the March Employee Rally and included a $1,000 bonus. Congratulations, Don, on this well-deserved recognition.
