If there are two people who never miss the chance to share a toast and enjoy a good meal, it’s Bill Lohmann and Bob Brown. And for more than 150 of their friends and fans, Legend Brewing Company served as the ideal place this week to celebrate the duo’s long-term Back Roads collaboration.
Legend’s main dining room was packed at the “Back Roads: People, Places and Pie Around Virginia" documentary sneak peek event. The crowd gathered for a first look at the film featuring Lohmann and Brown that premiered on Thursday, March 28, on WCVE PBS Richmond. The drink for the evening was Back Roads Black Lager, brewed by Legend and named in honor of the event.
The event was a partnership between the Richmond Times-Dispatch, WCVE PBS Richmond and Legend Brewing Company. Look for more of Bill and Bob’s work in the pages of The Times-Dispatch, and tune into WCVE PBS Richmond to watch “Back Roads: People, Places and Pie Around Virginia." The film has upcoming air dates.
Back Roads Black Lager was brewed in a small batch and a limited quantity remains available for purchase at Legend Brewing Company in downtown Richmond. If you stop by for a pint, be sure to toast the unique people and places in Virginia that you can find while traveling the back roads.
