Richmond’s Peter Chang China Café is one of ‘Bon Appétit's 50 Best New Restaurant Nominees of 2012.’
This Short Pump restaurant has been all the rage to Richmonders since it opened earlier this year, and of course we knew that Chef Chang is an internationally-known, but one of Bon Appetit’s 50 best new restaurants – this is huge for Richmond dining.
And it could get better – instead of releasing the "Hot 10 new spots" as it normally does, Bon Appetit chose to do a Top 50 list, which will be whittled down to a Top 10 list released on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Our own Andrew Knowlton--a.k.a. The Foodist--has been very busy lately. And no, we're not talking about his jaunt to Norway. We're talking about BA's annual Best New Restaurants issue, in which Knowlton chooses his Hot 10 new spots of 2012. This year, we're switching it up a bit, sharing Knowlton's list of 50 Best New Restaurant nominees. Peter Chang China Café was one of two Virginia restaurants on the list (the other one in Alexandria) and the only one in Richmond.
