Tickets are selling fast for the next Metro Business Live forum where the Richmond region’s residential real estate market will be the topic.;

During the event on Tuesday, June 25, a panel of experts will discuss the region’s strong residential market and the trends that are affecting it now and in the future.

The Richmond region is seeing sellers getting multiple offers. Condo activity is increasing. More town homes are being built. Homebuyers are returning to or looking at living in an urban environment. Baby boomers are considering moving into a growing number of age-restricted communities.

The panelists will be:

  • Daniel T. Schmitt, president and chief operating officer of HHHunt Corp., the parent company of ;;HHHunt Communities;
  • Lisa Sturtevant, the chief economist at Virginia Realtors who specializes in economic and housing market analyses;
  • Dawn Bradley, vice president Long & Foster, the region’s largest residential real estate firm; and
  • Wayne A. Chasen, president and CEO of Gumenick Properties, the Henrico County-based real estate development and management company.

Richmond Times-Dispatch Business Editor Gregory J. Gilligan will moderate the discussion.

Metro Business Live will be held at the RTD building at 300 E. Franklin St. The gathering, which includes a catered breakfast, will be from 7:15 to 9:15 a.m. Tickets are $30 per person.
