Lubricants with calcium-containing detergent and their use for improving low speed pre-ignition; (U.S. Patent 10,336,959); Kristin Fletcher of Midlothian; William Y. Lam, Kongsheng Yang and Jeremy Styer of Glen Allen; Afton Chemical Corp. of Richmond: A lubricating oil composition and method of operating a boosted internal combustion engine. The lubricating oil composition includes greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil, an overbased detergent having a TBN greater than 225 mg KOH/g and a low-based/neutral detergent having a TBN up to 175 mg KOH/g. A total amount of calcium from the overbased and low-based/neutral detergent is greater than 1100 ppm to less than 2400 ppm by weight based on a total weight of the lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition and method may be effective to reduce low-speed pre-ignition events in a boosted internal combustion engine lubricated with the lubricating oil composition relative to commercially available lubricating oil compositions.

Capsule-based alcoholic beverage forming apparatus and components thereof; (U.S. Patent 10,336,597); Gregory James Griscik and Jeremy Straight of Midlothian; Jonathan David Watson, John Nelson and Carl Gregory Miller of Richmond; Rosana C. Altoveros of Chesterfield; Lawrence E. Tipton of Colonial Heights; David Alvarez of Henrico; Altria Client Services LLC of Henrico: An alcoholic beverage forming apparatus operable to dispense an alcoholic beverage having a desired flavor, proof, temperature, and volume mixes water and alcohol with a flavor medium to form an alcoholic beverage having a desired flavor that may be dispensed from the apparatus. The apparatus includes a capsule holder, a water supply reservoir and an alcohol supply reservoir. The reservoirs are operable to respectively supply water and alcohol to a mixing manifold of the apparatus to such that the water and alcohol are combined in the mixing manifold to form an alcoholic beverage mixture which is subsequently mixed with a flavor medium contained in an interior of a beverage capsule. Hydro-formed film with three-dimensional micro-apertures; (U.S. Patent 10,335,973); Tredegar Film Products Corp. of Richmond: A method of processing a polymeric web includes providing a forming screen configured for supporting and moving with the web in a machine direction. The forming screen has a plurality of elliptical screen openings, each having a major axis perpendicular to the machine direction and a minor axis parallel to the machine direction. The method includes continuously depositing the web onto the forming screen and passing the web and forming screen through a water stream having a pressure level sufficient to cause the web to be forced into the screen openings, thereby forming protrusions extending from the planar surface of the web. Each protrusion has an apex, an opening at the apex, and an elliptical cross-section parallel to the planar surface of the web. The elliptical cross-section has a protrusion axis ratio that may be selected so as to produce a desired protrusion axis ratio.
