The Black Studies program at R-MC and the Hanover County Black Heritage Society present “We Have Come This Far By Faith and Grace” - 400 Years of Progress and Struggle, 1619-2019.  

This is R-MC's ninth-annual Juneteenth program. It begins with a traditional African Horn Fanfare Ceremony and includes beautiful singing, powerful oratory and dramatic poetry readings. The audience will hear inspirational music and words which acknowledge and celebrate the 400-year journey of Africans in the Americas from Jamestown, Virginia in 1619 to the many facets of Black American culture, life and history in 2019. 

Light refreshments will follow the program.
