The applicant seeks two special exceptions to the electronic message board sign standards: to change messages more frequently, and to permit overnight operation of the sign. The property is zoned Agricultural, Limited (A-2) and is 16.21 acres. The Conditional Use Permit is required by Section 15-416 and the special exceptions are requested under 15.416.B of the Goochland County Zoning Ordinance. The Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Semi-Public. The applicant has requested a deferral of this case to June 2, 2020. District 4 CU-2020-00003 Application by GCJ Holdings, LLC requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow short-term rentals, unhosted, a campground, and public assembly places at 1978 Cardwell Road on Tax Map 44-1-0-45-0. The property is zoned Agricultural, Limited (A-2) and is 67.07 acres. The Conditional Use Permit is required by Section 15-112 of the Goochland County Zoning Ordinance. The Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Rural Enhancement Area. The applicant has requested a deferral of this case to June 2, 2020. District 5 CU-2011-00004A Application by Benedictine Society of Virginia requesting to amend Conditional Use Permit CU-2011-00004 to allow additional buildings and request an increase in the county water allocation at 12829 River Road on Tax Map 66-1-0-2-0. The property is zoned Agricultural, Limited (A-2) and Residential, Limited (R-1) and is 49.839 acres. The Conditional Use Permit is required by Sections 15-112 and 15-152 of the Goochland County Zoning Ordinance. The Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Semi-Public. The applicant has requested a deferral of this case to June 2, 2020. Anyone may attend to express opinions on the above.
