The Community College Workforce Alliance’s (CCWA)
primary mission is to provide quality workforce training services to the greater Richmond area. As a Virginia Community College (VCCS) system-wide program, which is a component of CCWA, EducateVA’s
mission is to provide an effective route to licensure for
teachers, in critical shortage teaching areas, across
Virginia. The Program provides accessible, effective
training to skilled, talented, and diverse individuals so
they will be prepared to meet the needs of the public
school classrooms in the Commonwealth. The Assistant Coordinator, EducateVA/Career Switcher Program
supports the Director in recruitment, enrollment, curriculum development, and instructional delivery of the
program. Master’s degree from an accredited institution in secondary education, educational leadership,
curriculum and instruction, or related field is required;
and the successful candidate must hold or have held
a Post-Graduate Professional Teaching License in the
Commonwealth of Virginia. The selected candidate
must be able to successfully pass the college’s preemployment security screening.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time twelve-month
professional faculty-ranked appointment. Salary
commensurate with the education and experience
of the applicant. Salary range: $58,308 - $115,624.
Approximate maximum hiring salary: $65,000. Additional information regarding the positions and
