The Jefferson Hotel hosts its annual tree lighting on Monday, Nov. 26 to kick off the holiday season.
The tree lighting is free to the public and begins at 5 p.m. with live music.
The tree lighting ceremony starts at 5:45 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy free cookies, hot chocolate and cider following the lighting of the tree.
Word to the wise: This event gets very crowded. Expect lots of people and get there early if you want a good view. Or go later in the season when it's not as crowded.
The hotel will also be decked out for the holidays starting Monday with hundreds of poinsettias, twinkling lights and toy soldiers.
Be sure to check out the gingerbread display in the Palm Court Lobby constructed from hundreds of pounds of gingerbread, royal icing and candies.
