Richmond Fashion Week kicks off tonight at 8 with a launch party at The Tobacco Company.
Now in its second year, the series will showcase fashions from independent designers and local boutiques with events through April 24.
•On Saturday at 4 p.m., the Dillard's Monumental Fashion Show will highlight lines by Antonio Melani and Alex Marie during the Southern Women's Show at the Richmond Raceway Complex.
•On Sunday at 6 p.m. is the Fab'rik City Chic Fashion Show at Fab'rik Boutique, 3108 W. Cary St. The show will feature the spring and summer collection with a catered reception to follow.
•At 7:30 p.m. April 22, Richmond CenterStage's Rhythm Hall is the spot for the Vintage Hollywood Fashion Show, where classic looks from Richmond's history will be presented. Designs by Michael Taylor, Laurianda, Lex's of Carytown and Dillard's will be featured.
•At 9:30 p.m. April 22 is a networking event at Bank Restaurant, 1001 E. Main St. RSVP to email@example.com.
•On April 23, the "Crossing the Line" charity fashion show takes place at Crittenden Studio, 201 W. Seventh St., with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and the event at 7:30 p.m. Grecian influences in fashion are the highlight, with works from Eurotrash, Roan, Pink and others. •At 7:30 p.m. April 24, it's the Monumental Fashion Show and After Party at the Hat Factory, 140 Virginia St. The showcase will feature designs from United Colors of Benetton, Peyton Hall, First Republic and more.
