Want to catch a free outdoor movie?

Movies in the Park, a free outdoor movie series from the city of Richmond, starts this Friday, June 21 with a screening of "The Lego Movie 2" at Byrd Park, 600 S. Boulevard.

Activities begin at 8 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m., or when it gets dark. Blankets or chairs welcome.

The free movie series continues every week in a different city park through Aug. 16.

Here is the rest of the 2019 schedule:

June 28: "Bumblebee," Summer Hill Park, Lamber & Castlewood Aves.

July 5: "Avengers: Infinity War," Hotchkiss Field, 701 E. Brookland Park Blvd.

July 12: "Incredibles 2," Jefferson Park, 1921 Princess Anne Ave.

July 19: "Creed II," Southside C.C., 6255 Warwick Ave.

July 26: "Aquaman," Abner Clay Park, Leigh St. & 200 W. Clay St.

Aug. 2: "Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse," Battery Park, 2405 Hawthorne Ave.

Aug. 9: "Ralph Breaks the Internet," Humphrey Calder, 414 N. Thompson St.

Aug. 16: "Mary Poppins Returns," Forest Hill Park, 41st St. & Forest Hill Ave.
