Strangeways Brewing's Scott’s Addition location is now open.
The Henrico County-based brewery opened its third location today, May 23.
Its 4,000 square foot location at 3110 W. Leigh St. puts it across from Circuit Arcade Bar and in the same building as Smohk RVA. Its 36 draft lines "feature IPA’s, lagers, Belgian styles, sours, dark beers, specialty beers, ciders, and beyond, with something to match every individual palate," according to the news release. .
Neil Burton — a former retail clothes seller turned brewery owner — opened the first Strangeways in 2013 at 2277A Dabney Road — after helping pass the legislation that made it legal for Virginia brewers to sell beer on-site. Strangeways opened its second location in Fredericksburg in 2017.
“We are beyond excited to be a part of the vibrant culture in this unique part of Richmond, and feel this area will continue to strengthen as a hub for retail locations, entertainment venues, corporate spaces and residential housing,” Burton told the Times-Dispatch in November.
Strangeways Brewing's Scott’s Addition is now open daily and there's a grand opening party Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight during which Smohk will unveil its new menu.
