During September, Virginia Spirits Month, the Richmond Times-Dispatch is featuring a Virginia spirits-based specialty drink Wednesdays in Culture. For details, visit www.virginiaspirits.org.

Origin: Ethan Craig, bar manager at The Rogue Gentlemen, created this cocktail trying to use as many Virginia products as possible, and in the style of a classic New York Sour. Craig made Peanut Orgeat with Virginia peanuts. The name comes from some pop culture references, as many of The Rogue Gentlemen’s cocktail names do, giving a nod to a famous Richmond thoroughfare and its now somewhat polarizing décor.

Locations: Reservoir Distillery (Hunter and Scott Bourbon), 1800 Summit Ave., Suite A, Richmond; Rogue Gentlemen, 618 N. First St., Richmond; Early Mountain Vineyards (War and Rust Quinquina), 6109 Wolftown-Hood Road, Madison
