On April 14, Brenner Pass in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood of Richmond will host a fried chicken extravagana with top chefs cooking up some of their favorite chicken dishes.

Bon Appetit's annual "Top 50 Nominees for America’s Best New Restaurants 2018" is out - and a Richmond restaurant is on the list.

Brenner Pass - chef Brittanny Anderson's Alpine restaurant in Scott's Addition - made the list.

Anderson - along with her Metzger co-owners, Nathan Conway and Brad Hemp, plus pastry chef Olivia Wilson and "barman" James Kohler - opened in Brenner Pass at 3200 Rockbridge St. in June 2017.

For its annual list, Bon Appetit scours the country for the best of the best. The top 10 list is unveiled on Aug. 14.

This is the fourth time a Richmond restaurant has made the top 50 list. In 2012, it was Peter Chang China Café, Southbound made the list in 2015 and Longoven in 2016.

Earlier this year, Anderson was named a semifinalist for best chef in the Mid-Atlantic for the 2018 James Beard Foundation Awards.
