Crush - a boba or bubble tea cafe - is now open in Chesterfield County.

Bubble tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink known for the tiny chewy tapioca balls served in the beverage.

Owner Ashley Kim opened the new spot on Dec. 1 at 11436 Belvedere Vista Lane, in the same shopping center just off Robious Road as the sushi restaurant, Sushi Box, she and her mother opened in 2014.

"We had so many people coming in [Sushi Box] and inquiring about [bubble tea], we decided to open one," Kim said.

Crush serves bubble tea as well as macaroons and shaved iced desserts.

Crush is open daily from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
