3307 Kensington Ave. (2018)

It’s nearly your last chance to see the displays before most homeowners pull the plug on New Year’s Day.

If you haven’t been to the Museum District yet, be sure to see the lights at 3209 Hanover Ave., 3307 Kensington Ave. and 2814 W. Grace St.

The house at 2814 W. Grace St. is now up to 150,000 lights. It’s covered in lights from top to bottom and in the backyard.

At 3209 Hanover Ave., there’s a giant “RVA” sign on the roof. The sign is about 6½ feet tall and 10 feet long. On the porch roof, you’ll find lots of fun inflatables. Look for Darth Vader, a Yeti, a reindeer, a snowman, Will Ferrell’s “Elf” character and lots more.

You can wrap-up your Museum District mini-tour with a stop at 3307 Kensington Ave. It’s lit up in the rain or snow and has a ton of inflatables, rope lights and tacky goodness.

If you’re looking to follow a planned route to see the Tacky Lights, go to Richmond.com. We have a list of “suggested routes” by neighborhood, and you can load them into Google Maps.
