Jill Magee Buser, 46, of Powhatan, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Kevin Buser; sons, Cameron Short of Hopewell, Gerald Connor Buser of Powhatan; daughter, Sarah Jayne Buser of Powhatan; her mother, Anita Magee of Blackstone; precious grandchildren, Jasper Ray Short, Aubree Faith Short; brothers, Kenneth Magee (Terri) of Amelia, Shawn Magee (Trica) of Chesterfield; many nieces and nephews; along with dear friends, Terri and Darrell Deel. Carl W. Fehr, 87, of Powhatan, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. Born May 27, 1929, in Red Bud, Illinois, he was a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant. Carl was predeceased by his wife, Doris. He is survived by his children, Donna Garcia, Cathy Fehr, Carla Krausz, Karl Fehr, Ray Fehr, Helen Fehr; stepdaughter, Christy Rupertus; sister, Helen Stockton; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The family received friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, Powhatan and where services followed at 2 p.m. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
N. CARROLL PALMORE
N. Carroll Palmore, 77, of Richmond, formerly of Powhatan, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mazie and Nelson C. Palmore, and his half-sisters, Janet Nunnally and Emily Kinner. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Palmore; his children, Dennis Palmore (Cindy) and Karen Marshall (Lenny), and eight grandchildren. Carroll retired from BAC Local of Virginia after 40 years and also retired from the National Guard. He was an avid animal lover, sports fan, and gardener. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at Bliley’s-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where a Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
