Richmond police arrested and charged a woman in connection with a Saturday shooting that injured a man in Whitcomb Court, one of at least three shootings in the neighborhood over the past few days.
Ashleigh Parnell, 28, of the 2300 block of Selden Street, faces an attempted murder and a gun charge.
The shooting occurred about 5:50 a.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Whitcomb Street. The man who was injured drove himself to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives also are investigating two other shootings at Whitcomb Court.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, police were informed that a 19-year-old shooting victim had been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries . Officers determined the victim had been shot in the 2100 block of Deforrest Street.
At 12:15 a.m. Monday, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2400 block of Carmine Street. Police found a 24-year-old male victim with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital.
