Police charged a Colonial Heights man with attempted murder and felonious use of a firearm in a shooting in Richmond early Saturday that left a man wounded.

Richmond police received reports of a shooting at 1:15 a.m. in the 400 block of North Harrison Street in the Fan District.

A man was taken to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening, police said.

Colonial Heights police arrested Blair D. Odom, 26, of the 100 block of Fairfax Avenue, at 7:15 a.m., according to a Richmond police news release.
