Five adults were displaced by a house fire in Henrico County on Thursday.

At 5:44 p.m., firefighters responded to the report of a house on fire in the 7800 block of Black Duck Court, just north of the intersection of state Route 5 and Interstate 295 and just west of Four Mile Creek Park. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire shooting from the roof of the home and were able to extinguish a large part of the fire from outside the house.

No injuries were reported. The five displaced residents are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Henrico Fire Marshal's Office.
