A Fredericksburg teenager has been charged in the killing of an Ashland teenager on Halloween, authorities said Wednesday.

Airick Tillman, 16, has been charged with first-degree murder, robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and distribution of marijuana, the Ashland Police Department said in a news release.

Police said they responded about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 to the Henry Clay Apartments in the 200 block of Randolph Street, where they found Deshawn Burgos, 18, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tillman was taken into custody in Chesterfield County and is being held in juvenile detention, police said.
