Police lights

A man was fatally shot at an apartment building in Ashland late on Halloween night. 

Ashland police said officers responded to the report of a shooting at the Henry Clay Apartments in the 200 block of Randolph Street at 11:33 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Hanover Fire and EMS.

The identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

Ashland police are continuing to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information about this crime to call the Ashland Police Department at (804) 365-6140 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
