A man is dead after his truck crashed into another truck and was then hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Chesterfield County, state police said.

About 4:20 p.m. Thursday, authorities responded to a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-95 near Willis Road. State police said a man driving a Ford F-150 truck was headed south in the center lane when the vehicle veered out of its lane and struck a Chevrolet Silverado. The Ford truck was then hit by a tractor-trailer that was hauling a farm tractor.

The driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was not wearing his seat belt and died at the scene, police said. The other drivers, both of whom were wearing their seat belts, were not injured, police said.

State police said the crash remains under investigation.
