Henrico County police responded to a Catholic school on Wednesday after students were overheard talking about a “threat of a shooting,” the department said Thursday.
Officers responded to Our Lady of Lourdes school on Woodman Road for a “juvenile problem concerning statements overheard from students regarding a threat of a shooting,” Henrico police spokeswoman Lauren Hummel said in a statement.
“We are working to provide the necessary resources to the students and staff as we conduct our joint investigation with the school,” Hummel said in the statement.
Hummel added that the department “reminds everyone to ‘see something, say something.’ We appreciate those individuals making us aware of this situation.”
