A woman found shot in South Richmond on Monday is expected to survive in an incident authorities say also included a house being hit by gunfire, according to Richmond police.
Police responded to the intersection of German School Road and Midlothian Turnpike around 8 p.m. Monday and found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, according to a police news release.
Investigators believe the woman was shot during an incident less than a mile away, on the 500 block of Labrook Drive off German School Road. At least one house was hit by gunfire, police said. No further details were immediately available.
