After nearly two years of renovation and a $2.1 million Capital Campaign, the Ashland Theatre reopened on Dec. 26 with an opening day celebration and showing of the Disney Musical, “Mary Poppins Returns.” The theater will show the film through Jan. 13. Theatergoers at the re-opening were the first to experience the historic theatre’s new, state-of-the-art projection and surround sound systems, plush seating, expanded concession stands and a VIP lounge with box seats.
