RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Cole Peterson scored on an error in the top of the 10th inning to help lead the Erie SeaWolves to a 7-3 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Tuesday.
Peterson scored after he started the inning on second. The SeaWolves later scored six more runs in the inning, including a three-run home run by Kody Eaves.
Richmond attempted a comeback in the bottom of the inning when Joey Bart scored on a forceout and Peter Maris hit a sacrifice fly. However, the rally ended when Nolan Blackwood got Ryan Howard to ground out to end the game.
Cam Gibson homered and singled in the win.
Blackwood (6-4) got the win in relief while Raffi Vizcaino (0-5) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
Erie improved to 6-3 against Richmond this season.
