ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — Richmond rode eight strong innings from starting pitcher Brendan McGuigan and a pair of three-run frames offensively to pick up a 9-3 Atlantic 10 victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday.

McGuigan allowed one unearned run on three hits for UR (23-17-1, 9-6).

The Spiders were led by Anthony Forte’s three hits, including a solo homer, and two RBIs. Tyler Plantier also had a solo homer.

Vincent Casey took the loss for the Bonnies (9-24, 5-10), allowing six runs — including three earned — on seven hits over six innings.

VCU 9, George Washington 7: The Rams scored three runs in the fourth inning and five in the fifth to turn a 5-0 deficit into an 8-5 lead en route to a home win.

Liam Hibbits had three hits four RBIs for the Rams (30-14, 13-5 A-10). Nate Woods surrendered six runs in the loss for the Colonials (24-20, 7-11).

No. 22 Miami 2, Virginia Tech 0: Adrian Del Castillo’s two-run homer in the fourth lifted the host Hurricanes to a series sweep. Starter Nic Enright had seven strikeouts and allowed only two hits in four innings but took the loss for the Hokies (24-21, 7-17 ACC).

Kevin Madden led the Hokies with two hits.

Tyler Keysor got the win, allowing three hits with seven strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings for the Hurricanes (31-14, 14-10).

No. 15 North Carolina 5, Virginia 4: The host Tar Heels took the series behind a strong relief appearance by Andrew Grogan. Grogan allowed three hits and two unearned runs in 4ß innings.

Nic Kent had three hits to lead the Cavaliers (26-20, 10-14 ACC). Brendan Rivoli added two hits and two runs scored.

Mike Vasil picked up the loss, giving up three earned runs on six hits in 3⅔ innings.

Jackson Hesterlee hit a two-run homer for the Tar Heels (33-12, 15-9).
