CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Elijah Moore recorded a double-double, Richard Granberry scored 13 points, and Virginia State downed Winston-Salem State 78-66 in the CIAA quarterfinals late Thursday night.

Moore led Virginia State with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Robert Colon led Winston-Salem State with a game-high 21 points.

Virginia State, the No. 2 seed from the Northern Division, forced the Rams to commit 17 turnovers. Winston-Salem State was the No. 3 Southern Division seed.
